Today's article in the Bay Area Reporter earned me a "nice job" from my laconic editor, which is as thrilling as a "fantastic! amazing!" from any other editor would be. You can read it here.

You can also check out a few of my posts at Blogging Tips. "Spice up your posts" got some comment love last week -- apparently there are a lot of blogger/chefs out there. We'll see if this week's article about how to defeat writer's block makes as many friends.

I'm also proud of my work at San Francisco Is My Home. Because it's a daily gig I don't often showcase it here; however, this is a little reminder for you that it's out there and fabulous. Check it out here.

My recent evening at the SPCA's fundraiser became an article for Fun Dog Fashion about doggie couture. Oh yes, it exists. Read all about it here.

Finally, you can read my tips for tourists at The Datevine, which will be useful whether you're visiting SF yourself or you live here and have friends coming into town.

Kathryn Kolbert is widely credited with saving Roe v. Wade in the 1980s when she argued it before the Supreme Court. This week, I interviewed her. What do you ask a woman who has contributed so much to such an important issue? I just tried to keep from going into hysterics like an excitable little dog. You can read the resulting article in this week's Bay Area Reporter.

I also wrote a post on Blogging Tips about how to tell good clients from bad ones based on their ad -- though, alas, there's no hard and fast rules for that. Check it out here.

Finally, you can read two new CD reviews on Online Rock: my take on The Boy Bathing is here, and I also reviewed a really kickass album from Say Hi here.
I had a very interesting article to write for The Bay Area Reporter this week. About half the tenants of the San Francisco Flower Mart are facing eviction from land newly-purchased by the Academy of Art. The city has a love-hate relationship with the city, and it's interesting to see the controversy that's begun to arise over their rapid land acquisition.
I was a bit lax about updating this site last month. The holidays are a crazed and crimson season for writers as much as anyone else. However, if you've been missing me (hi, mom!) then you'll be delighted to hear there are a few new links on offer.

First up are a couple of Bar Area Reporter articles. I wrote a piece on a recent marathon, and one on Pali Boucher, the amazing woman who made me want to be a journalist.

And, of course, I've written several new posts for Blogging Tips. Were you wondering about the best celebrity blogs, how to use your blogging powers for good, the best ways to review the past year or which punctuation marks are most important? Click on any of those links to find out my answers. Extra points if you can guess which article I wrote while suffering from the stomach flu. (Because the holiday season isn't complete without one major illness, right?)

I've got a new post up on Blogging Tips about how to classify your blog, and a new article on The Bay Area Reporter about a volunteering opportunity this Christmas.

In other news, I've just been re-hired by one of my first clients, The Datevine. They originally paid me to create a database of tips on where to take a date in the Bay Area. Since then, the site has taken off, and now I'll be working for them as the San Francisco editor.
